YAY its St Patricks Day and all over the world people are raising a glass to celebrate ;) In my mind St Patties tends to signal the start of Spring. That and the fact that sunshine woke me up at 6am this morning wheeee. ANYWAY, on with the show. I meant to do a round up of some fab freebies a few days ago but in RL I have been so busy and in SL I am distracted making a few odds n sods for my lil store I want to open SO it was delayed until now.

I love love lOVE what next and not only does winter create cute things but also is super genrous. The hatboxes and chairs pictured above are both amazing freebies for March. The lovely footbath is a group gift from Bettiepage Voyager.

The pink shelves with plant and game are a hunt gift from thistle thats still avaliable YAY. Get it from here while you can. The cute gerbera rugs are a group gift from the ever generous .Nocc and the momento board is from Insight Designs and is an old gift that is still there and just fits oh so well.

The heart prints are also free at insight designs, Amisha is super super talented and generous. These super cute shelves are free from Kinokoko and come in 3 colours the blue, white and brown. Kinikoko makes awesome things and has lots of intersting freebies around the store. Including a CUTE as hell rubber duck which I just remembered I forgot to take a picture of.

The candles are another freebie from Thistle.

If you haven't been to Olive yet YOU SHOULD. There are always loads of super cute gifts and full price items that are really good value for money. In their lucky board there is a lovely pouf and rug set that I havent pictured. This wall art is also free there and is only 1 prim.

Wine and glasses is from Thistle an dthe cute cupboard is a lucky board item from one of my long time faves Muu's.

FLOWERS so lovely and colourful were a lucky chair prize at Thistle and the lovely mailbox is also from Thistle and is their builders blocks hunt prize. Just look for the hammer ;P.

Bloggers been a bugger to me this week and uploads have been le nighmare BUT it finally seems to be working again so I am catching up on my posts! I finally decided to get some new land YAY!

Its a work in progress but I managed to get away from the plain sandy beach look ;)

I love the Y's house Omoya home and have been eagerly waiting the release of her next house.

I was SO excited to discover that she has released the lovely Voletta screen I have long admired and is now avaliable in 2 versions.

AND she has released her remade drawers which have the cutest poses and the drawers also change colour OH YAY!

So, what better way to kill the time of waiting for the gorgeous new house but to snap up a few purchases n head to my home to start redecorating :)

I absolutely adore my older colourful bed but I finally got me one of Miabella's Heirloom beds so am playing around with a more streamlined look for spring. The heirloom beds are ONLY out as long as the Melt event is running so if, like me, you have missed them in the past GRAB THEM QUICK.

ITS NOT SPRING YET! Well at least, it aint here in the cold n rainy UK bah humbug ;) BUT the sun shone in SL and today it certainly brightened my mid week blarghy mood.

YAY, I braved it to the Carwash sim event and just about made it through the lag in one piece ;)) Its an awesome event with lots of great designers putting out a whole bunch of stuffs that is no more than $10 each, often alot less. Can you say BARGAIN ;)) There is TONS of stuff to look at and I am only going to show you a few of my fave bits from some of my fave designers.

Ahhhh now I feel warm and fuzzy and no I am not even enjoying a glass of vin rouge ;P

XD! For a birthday a long long long time ago, I got an album, YUS VINYL babies, called *Now Thats What I Call Music Vol 1* haha I was only a wee lil thing but I remember feeling super grown up to have my own album ;P YUS I am that old, NO this has nothing really to do with my post, I am just in that kinda mood. I think all the 80's fashion has made me nostalgic. I never liked it the first time round when I was a small girl n I dont like it now XD XD! Anyway, that is another story.

ONWARDS! The last 2 weeks have seen us totally spoiled with some wunderful household freebies and group gifts that just make me jump up n down like a giddy thing. So as always I am excited to share them with you all ;)).

The awesomely talented and wickedly fantastic wench Amisha March of Insight Designs made this super cute vintage board as a group gift. I have been itching (not literally ewww) to blog it since she released it. It is oh so cute and has many textures you can switch between. I may be biased but I swear that she and Jewell (distressed Textures) make the most gorgeous textures in SL ever between them ;)

AND THEN, LaLicious release a super amazing and generous sofa, table and rug as a group gift! AND THEN, Mocha release an adorable shelf in 4 colours and put them in their LUCKY BOARD (or you can buy for a mere $80 each if you can't wait). AND THEN, Amisha makes another super awesome freebie, the lovely heart pictures. AND THEN (yus more)

I hear that the wonderful LP2 Interiors is back open with YAY an awesome group gift <3>

Ah so, if that wasnt enough freebie gorgeousness I hopped on by Muu's workshop and YAY she has a super cute dining set in her camp prizes. SO I sat n chilled my boots for 30 mins n got a lovely table and some chairs OH and a plant (not pictured).

More gorgeousness with the plant from Muu's, a free jigsaw thats oh so cute, and and freebies from Mocha (shelf), Dutchie (newspaper) AND Via from TLND (true love never die) made gorgeous stripy pots to celebrate the opening of her store at Albero :))

So, phew, as if that all wasn't enough I was a goin through my Starlust hunt prizes and came across this wonderful record rack from pointee :)) Free pics YAY from OHMAI! and double YAY. THEN Mocha then released a super cute notice board as a group gift :))))

Snug as a bug in a rug in ma SNUG

I have always wanted a snug of my own. Its kinda like a cross between an art gallery and relaxing place. Well mine is anyway. I fell in love with this picnic prefab and had to have it. Having already set up a veru happy home in my Y's house I spent a while thinking how best to use this lovely building. As you can see, its pretty big for a snug but hey, the beautiful of SL is not being limited by such things ;))

So, I filled my snug with some of my favourite artwork in SL and then set about decorating around it. Items on the table are from Picnic, Second Spaces, What Next and Lalicious Designs ;)

Lovely muted snowy pictures. The first is from [What Next] & its only $40 I do believe and it is just lovely. The 2nd picture on the easel is by the ever so talented Jewell Lamourfou and is a rockin $25 and oh so lovely. You can add your own picture but I loved that one so much. Old frame is another $20 bargain from [What Next] and the lovely candle lamps are by *Lotta and are only 3 prims YAY.

IF you havent ever been to Kalavinka Gallery then I recommend you do IMMEDIATELY ;) Caca's artwork is not only stunningly beautiful but its so thought provoking PLUS she is an absolutely the sweetest person too. I wish I owned all her artwork but I can't wait for her to paint so more. The cutest ottoman in the world is by Trash Wahwah and has lots of colour options and is cheap, I think it was $50 (I may need to check) but wow, great job Trash. Lil sparkly incence is by Urbanized & I SLOVE it.

of Caca's artwork with the beautiful Calm Wood by Neom Grut, another amazingly talented and lovely artist. The big squishy sofa is by sTwo Acker and is colour change and 6 prims! The lovely rug, I spent ages looking for, is from Dutchie (of course). Finally, for this pic, the cute antlers are also from Trash and the lovely picture of St Catherine is by Andie Button. WHO I WANT TO MAKE MORE THINGS PLEASE! KKTHNXBAI ;))

YAY more of Caca's art ;P AND the lovely and snuggly alpaca rug from *Plaaka* and the lovely lamp n log thingy set from [pda] which was a $50 friday but is out for sale again in an updated version ;) And....... one of my angels which I love and have them all around my home. They are from LPHS and were.... gawd..... $200 tops for 3 and are copy so YAY, love em.

OK so I totally FAIL at resisting the urge not to blog and although I have done a run of Freebie Rooms I do promise I will get back to blogging other items not just freebies soon. So on my last tip o the cap to valentines day I created not a freebie room, more of a freebie garden. Enjoy ;)

I really was trying not to do another valentines room but there were so many gorgeous things still in my inventory I couldnt resist.

The bed is BIG, and has 2 poses and is another generous group gift from A.D.D Andel who I first found during the Haiti Relief Fundraiser and quickly fell in slove with the store. Lamp is a fave freebie from Jordan Giant, Birth Of Venus art print from NN museum lucky board and the gorgeous frames I got from the Loft mini store at Albero YAY $1 bargains. Whats in the box? A present? FOE ME? Why yes, yes it was a gorgeous group gift from the lovely Eliza at Patron. Not only is the box itself stunning but it had the beautiful dragonfly cushion inside so so beautiful.

Fly me to the moon :) I love this moon seat and thought it looked good on the wall ;P part of the starlust gift from the wonderful LeMelange. Table MMG's yes I use it in every post I make it seems but it is so awesome how can you blame me. Petals on the floor were also part of the Patron Valentines Group gift!

Love letters straight to my heaaartttttt, OH I am full of the songs today I apologise ;) Ahem, the pretty pot is from Bettiepage Voyager whose work just gets better and better, starlust hunt. The candle is one of the gorgeous ones in the True Love Never Die feb group gift set. I just love the mish mash of letters and things on the desk, its another V Day gift from +Olive+ and they have one for boys AND one for girls in the pack YAY.

Time for a quick 50 winks as we say in the UK and where better than on one of the lovely chairs from itutu and the cupid hunt. The table is a lovely shabby red from La Flat and is free. Bottle of wine and glasses freebie from Drobak and just so pretty. The rose in the vase and red candle and petals were also in the lovely gift from What Next that I blogged yesterday. Art prints again NN museum lucky board.

The LOVE ornament is $1 from PopArt and the key which I use alot but again, I love it so I dont care is another cute free find from PATRON.

Cupid watch over me ;) So whats left to do but lay back and dream of love whilst resisting the temptation to eat that entire bar of chocolate! I have been planning on doing a Valentines Version of a Freebie Room but was lacking inspiration until I received the wonderful group notice that Amalicious Destiny had put her gorgeous Dreams sky box on her lucky board for a limited time. YAY so I grabbed me some of that stylish pink loveliness and I was off!
The plant is part of the valentines freebie set from Urbanzied, its not around for much longer so grab it while you can. The planter changes colour so its great fun. The bed and lamp are from PopArt which I discovered through the lovely Jennaa Loire whose blog I have admired for ages. Imagine how happy I was when she took up the freebie room challenge YAY. The pictures are a group gift from a place I just discovered called *Le Melange* and are so cute, I took a close up so you could see them better.
Ah so back to the day before valentines and what to wear? XD! The cute undies and shoes and bracelet worn here and above are a gift on the Starlust Hunt which rocks. The stool is a camp prize from one of my faves Muu's Workshop. Oh and rug is from Y's, I never get bored of these rugs and are still at Albero, although I am not sure for how long.

The Modern Home

I keep changing my mind about this one, still feels a little bit like there is something lacking. Not sure, maybe its just me. Anyways ;) This is my stab at a modern style home.
The gorgeous skybox is free but it may be a tiny weeny cheat (hey my challenge = my rules ;) ) as its a special item from the Lithium Gacha Gacha. When you have collected all 6 items you can click and get this for freeeeeeeeeee. Plus the gacha items are great house items which I wanted anyways so for me it was win win.

The beautiful picture is by Skip Gaffer and is free from Patron, I picked up a few sneaky free items whislt I was there looking at Elizas lovely store and sim. Wall sconces are free lucky chair item from low prim high style. Their lucky chairs are great as they alternate between lots of the full price items that are in the store. So if you wait about long enough you could get an entire furnished house \m/. The candles in stone pots to the right and the ornament on top of the green dresser are free or $1 from The Loft. The Loft has a lovely discount section with a few items free or $1. SCORE! Dresser and plant are the current group gift from Clematis <3.

The rugs are free still from the lovely Y's House store and are just so well made. The stools are free from Urbanized and are in the group notices as a preview for their lovely spring/summer collection. There is also an awesome valentines gift in the stores too, they spoil us they do <3.>

Loverly pictures on the back wall are all from DARE poses but I snagged them from their display at the Urban Arts Gallery. There were 2 more paintings that were also free (not pictured) XD!

Under the window are the candles in pots from The Loft accompanied by the gorgeous free book from Neom Gruts gallery and a mug of steaming coffee which was another freebie from Patron.

Just to show you a lil peek outside as the sky home has an outside area too! The cushion stack are from WF on SL Street. She is selling her contents for free while she can and has a ton of cute stuffs so go and support this generous person.

Finally, a close up of that MMG table with another of Neoms books which is actually hidden in that scent bottle! REALLY, its like a genies bottle I swear ;) The Trailor Park Fairy Tales book is also by Tiger's Bookshop and the lovely key is also a freebie from Patron. PHEW! Once again a massive THANKYOU to the generous and talented designers in SL. I will be back to spend some $ lindens very soon <3 <3 <3

So, as you may have gathered from my previous post I LOVE MUU hahaha. There are lots of other places I love too but I am blown away by her cute style and insanely cheap prices. Not only are there loads of freebies at her store but she also has tons of really low priced items. I never feel my pics can do justice but I shall try to show you just a handful of some of the luverlee goodness found at some of her stores. She has a rezzer so most items can be previewed live! YAY! Trust me, my pictures do not show how cute the items are.

The Vintage Home

So my next mission was to create a vintage style home that was also totally free, well ok free or dollarbies ;P. The main thing I had problems with here was deciding what to use, meaning I was literally spoiled for choice. So respecting a low prim limit of 137 prims here in my latest offering.

The skybox is the beautiful cecilia that was a stunning group gift from the lovely Jordan Giant. Its so pretty and only 19 prims so it was the perfect place to start.

NOW, we all know I am partial to more than a bit of purple but for this project I gave myself an additional challenge of trying to choose more muted tones of greens, browns and pinks. WELL OK so a bit of purple loveliness WILL sneak in cos well, I love it ;))
The desk is the wonderful new desk and stool 1 prim meganess from MMG's. Its still on their lucky board in both colours <3>

The fancy frame is part of a dollarbie from freestyle & the russian doll is also $1 from there. The calender is from the extraordinarly talented Kalavinka ;)

Bad especially as it has some gorgeous textures and a free book YAY. I hope Jordan doesnt mind but I turned the bottom of her gift and. birds into some rustic wooden shelves and placed another pot from the free picnic pack
on top. This ones my fave pot as it has a cute lil sparkler sticking out of it. The candle is another freebie from Herbalys and can change to 4 gorgeous colours AND has a big small in the pack.

YAY for the free rugs at Y's. The lil stand in the middle is a freebie from JE*Republic, or at least it was still there yesterday so am sure it is. ITS so cute and has poses BOOYA! Above is one of the many many framed fine art prints that are free from the luckyboard at the amazing NN Museum. The chair and table are another lucky board gifty from *HP* Park and is just adorable.

My work here is nearly done, time for a relaxing glass (or bottle) of wine for free from the lovely Drobak.

The Great Freebie Room Challenge Part 1

STOP! FREEBIE Time!

Freebies! Love em or hate em they are no new thing to SL and are always the topic of much heated debate. Personally, I love a good freebie and cannot thank the generosity of the designers enough. PLUS through hunts and blogs I have found some of the most amazing places that I go back to time and time again. What I DO NOT like is when I see people grabbing up freebies for the sake of it. You know who I mean, the ones you spot who you know are only taking something because its free rather than because they want it. Saying that, they may wewll go back to buy stuffs at some point so yeah...... ANYWAY! This isn't going to be another of those discussions.

I spend alot of $ lindens in SL. I am blessed with an awesome SL job that pays me comfortably and a great RL job that lets me buy in some sl cash to play with. I am by no means flush but I am happy to spend a little bit of RL money buying things for the lil virtual me who is named Nimue. I digress.

So anyway, there I was sitting on my gorgeous bubble chairs (freebie) oggling my new MMG desk (I paid for mine cos I couldnt wait but both colours are in her lucky board for the patient folks) in my sl home that it occured to me. I had created a slhome I adore with the help of alot of linden dollars and some amazingly generous freebies, group gifts n dollarbies.

"Would it be possible" I mused "to create a home you love without spending lots of lindens? Just the odd dollar here n there?"

As I sat n pondered, SLfate intervened and I received a group notice from Magic Nook (<3)>

There arent really any rules but I guess the ones I stuck too were items had to be available NOW! (or at least were when I posted this) and cost no more than $1. Items you have made are allowed but I am guessing to keep them at a minimum to be fair. <3>

TUPPANCE A PAAAAHHHHNND!

OK I promise I wont sing...*often*. I only discovered Picnic fairly recently but absolutely adore everything they have made so far. This birdhouse is so adorable especially with the poses. I love cats in sl and rl so I couldnt resist these statues when I found them at .:SHD:. ;) (there were 6 in the pack for dirt cheap but these 2 were my faves).

The birds are from the OHSOMUTHAFUCKINTALENTED Aikea of Plastik fame and are a gacha gacha radom prize, these ones are Midsummer n Abel but there are loads n all are luverly. Plastik has been one of my all time fave stores in sl for ages, not just because I fall in slust and spend far too many lindens every time I go there BUT also cos Aikeas designs are creative, eyecatching and come in so many colours I swear she must get as over excited when she designs them as I do when I am attempting to decide which colour to choose. <3

Aha so, I just got into this whole idea of blogging and blew off the cobwebs from my flickr page after getting a yearning for a home of my own in SL. Its no secret that I am a notorious gamer geek chicka and a constant amusement to my hubs for my love of creating homes in virtual worlds. In fact my only real beef with WoW is "WHY AINT WE GOT HOMES YET BLIZZARD"! *shakes fist at them*!

AHEM, anyhoo, so fortunately SL is a place where a gorgeous home can be created and OMGS the options are endless. After endless blog n SL trawling I finally decieded on the gorgeous from y's BUT I swear I am still hankering for one of Jordan Giants stunning homes, Oh and that Studio in itutu, as well as Turnips Tea House or that church or a cute sky box and pigeon coop from Molto Bene or or or orrrrrrr that especially cute studio from reek, OH and that lovely sky box at Rucott and not forgetting picnic's new building they JUST RELEASED ARGH SEEEEEEEE what a hard time I had choosing!

Choice made (for now) I set about the fun part of decorating. In RL my home is lots of white, ethnic wooden furniture, big blue cord sofas and loads of interesting knick knacks from our various travels around the world n days spent at craft fairs, festivals and antique shows. I guess its like a shabby chic meets retro vintage rock n roll n hippiness. I wanted my SL home to kinda reflect that without being a carbon copy.

This was my original version, since then it is going through various metamorphoses in a few short weeks cos as soon as I get happy with it I spot something new! But that is half the fun I think. More pictures can be found HERE !

Nearly 2 years to be precise since I created my blog and then promptly got eaten by RL n forgot about it! As yer do.... ANYHOO...crashing on...ONE of my new years resolutions was to get off my butt n actually start blogging some of the many things I love in SL and possibly RL too's. DON'T PANIC! I dont claim to be a fashionista or expert of anything so this ownt be a blog that makes you go OMGS I will never be able to do that, my photography le sucks but That doesnt mean I cant have a go n have a giggle while at it. Soooooooooooo without further ado, I shall say welcome and stop waffling n get on with creating my first actual proper post. Hopefully it wont take me another 2 years to figure out.
